Open to Everyone

There are many exciting opportunities at the BRJCC for adult education. We offer a variety of classes, workshops and lectures open to everyone in the community. These are designed to encourage an appreciation of Jewish culture and heritage, and the development of Jewish identity and positive Jewish consciousness.

Topics Range from Academic and Current Events to Arts and Culture

The vibrancy and diversity of our community is reflected in the wide spectrum of topics addressed, ranging from academic subjects, arts and culture, current events and personal growth.

High Caliber Innovative Classes

The BRJCC?s collaboration with Lehrhaus Judaica Adult School of Jewish Education and other local agencies enable us to regularly offer additional high caliber, innovative classes which enrich Jewish life and learning.

Lecture Series

Lectures and readings cover a range of topics. From Social Security, the Writers of the Storm, SF Bay Area Jewish Genealogical Society to a wide range of different lectures regarding Anti-Semitism. lecture series

Personal Growth

Personal growth workshops cover topics such a Weekend of Forgiveness and Healing, Divine Birthing: Spiritual Practices for Pregnancy and Labor, Adoption, Dating - Make Me a Match and more. personal growth

Art & Culture

You will enjoy painting classes, KlezCalifornia, Daniel Pearl Music Day, and more music. Also the Art of Storytelling, and two plays: Hollywood Hats and The Arab-Israel Cookbook. There are new movies in our Reel Films program. art & culture

Brown Bag College

Brown Bag College classes might visit the Magnes Museum and hear a presentation about the current artist, plus enjoy lunch together. Classes also cover Jewish Literature, book club topic and more. brown bag college
