Conversational Hebrew

This class is suitable for those wishing to learn how to converse in modern, everyday Hebrew. It will allow participants to acquire the basics, as well as to expand an existing vocabulary. Learning will take place in a supportive group setting, which will use what each one of you brings to the table. From basics to slang to ?proper? Hebrew ? we will have with the language and enjoy it! Suitable for all levels. With instructor Shai Schneider.

Reading Yiddish Texts

In this course we will read and discuss selections of Yiddish prose and poetry from the 19th and 20th centuries. The class will focus on comprehension, based not only on the Yiddish language, but also on the cultural contexts in which the texts are embedded.
Prerequisite: Students should have completed at least a year of college-level Yiddish language or the equivalent. With Yael Chaver, Ph.D.
