Awakening Joy

The principles of the course are universal though much of material will include Buddhist philosophy drawn from instructor James Baraz's 25 years as a Buddhist meditation teacher and founding teacher of Spirit Rock Meditation Center (www.spiritrock.org). Current cutting edge brain shows that we actually change our brain structure as we practice certain states of mind. The more we incline the mind toward wholesome states of well-being, the more available they are to us. Participants can do the course live at the BRJCC or by email. Those who do it by email are connected with a cyberspace buddy. During the live gatherings we will have many exercises in dyads, triads and small groups.
